The average Canadian meal will consist of several fruits and vegetables that have traveled anywhere from 2000-4000 km just to get to your plate. By choosing to buy local, a higher percentage of our money is circulated back through our community. We protect farmland, preserve family tradition, create a sustainable food system, and help BC's 22,000 farms stay in business.

Buying local food does not mean you have to compromise on quality. We make sure every local producer meets our stringent standards of quality and that every product is hand selected and inspected. The majority of our produce is either vacuum or hydro cooled immediately after harvest which means they maintain a higher level of quality and longer shelf lives.
